For the past 20 years Dave has become a perpetual apprentice in all forms of Personal Protection.  He has invested significant time in the Martial Arts concentrating in: Yoshinkan Aikido, the Samurai arts (one of Aikido’s influences) and Systema (a Russian combat methodology widely unknown in the west). Dave has also trained in Krav Maga, Judo, Jujitsu,Tai-Chi, Yoga, American Kenpo, Nami-Ryu, low-light tactics and Executive Personal Defense offered by Surefire Institute. 

Subsequently, Dave is an educator by trade with over 12 years experience of corporate training and martial arts teaching. He has been privileged to teach people from all walks of life including those whose jobs are dangerous in nature such as: Special Forces, Law Enforcement, Nurses, Prison Guards and Psychiatric Wards Workers. Today Dave is a professional speaker, author and instructor.  He is the author of “Enough, A Candid Look at How to Avoid Sexual Assault”, the TLC and SafeTEACH Training Manuals and is currently working on his fourth book Personal Protection for the New Millenia (Working Title) due in Fall of 2009. He travels the nation conducting keynotes, workshops and seminars that focus on violence awareness; plus train others about their own personal sense of value, awakens their innate gifts and reduces their personal risk of violence in an increasingly violent world.
